RESPONSIBILITIES:
The senior-level strategist for College/University who provides leadership and consulting services on development organization and effectiveness.

Manages the Line of Business (LOB)or Enterprise College and develops College operational objective work plan and policies and authorizes their implementation in line with AAA-University and LOB or Enterprise goals & objectives. Develops plans/policies which incorporate the strategy, vision, values, and key objectives of the LOB, AAA-University and CSAA. Translates these strategies into action and measurable results. Delegates assignments to subordinate managers/supervisors.

Responsible for the assessment, design, development & delivery of all training/educations programs for the associated Line of Business (LOB). Reviews and makes recommendations to programs designed by staff and/or outside vendors to ensure instructional effectiveness. Determines the best delivery method for existing and new educational programs ensuring those delivery methods are aligned with the unique LOB needs and business strategy. Monitors and evaluates educational programs to determine if training needs are met. Establishes objectives for each training program to ensure staff performance reflects the training expectations. Provides LOB with performance technology and instructional design planning.

Manages resources with sound business knowledge of the training lifecycle, LOB or Enterprise needs, budget and organizational (AAA-University & LOB) performance metrics.

Partners internally with AAA-University, other Colleges and LOB or Enterprise to assess College?s success at meeting client training needs.

Actively involved in the governance of the College and AAA-University as Chair of the College Board (consisting of LOB leadership/management) and as active member of the AAA-University Governance Board.

Responsible for staying current on resource and skill requirements within the College, LOB and AAA-University. Manage, coach, mentor employees in the College.

In conjunction with LOB or Enterprise, responsible for identifying trends and future needs by tracking and soliciting feedback on employee development. Coordinates all aspects of College operational activities and functions to include collecting data to monitor report training results; enrolments; facilities planning & use.

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors degree required.

Typically requires a minimum of 5-7 years of training experience in the design, facilitation, and evaluation of training programs.

Minimum of 5-7 years technical experience related to the LOB-Industry/area of training provided.

5-7 years management/supervisory experience. Prior experience in leadership role in growing, multi function, geographically dispersed organizations is highly desired.

Requires 5-7 years minimum experience working in a corporate (enterprise-wide) training environment, preferably in insurance, travel, membership or related industries.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Human Performance Technology, Human Development, Organization Development, Instructional Systems Development, Instructional Technologies, Business or relevant degree program preferred.

Masters degree in Human Performance Technology, Human Development, Organization Development, Instructional Systems Development, Instructional Technologies, MBA or relevant technical degree program or equivalent preferred.
