Institutional Research, Assessment and Effectiveness Director

 

SCOPE:

General discretionary authority, working within general parameters, determining and implementing some recommended solutions to situations falling outside those general parameters.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

?  Coordinate and manage the on-going, integrated, and campus-wide research-based planning and evaluation process (Institutional Effectiveness Program)

?  Plan and coordinate all assessment activities for the University along with providing various reports to University Division for external agencies.

?  Ensure a systematic review of Institutional Effectiveness Program plans.

?  Ensure that the campus is effectively accomplishing its mission.

?  Support and facilitate the work of institutional and programmatic accreditations.

?  Facilitate periodic strategic planning and performance indicator reporting.

?  Support the research and analysis activities, including the development of surveys and other methods of data collection, and work with Division for methodology resources.

?  Ensure effective reporting for IPEDS and other federal/state reports, as required.

 

EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE:

?  Experience with institutional research and assessment.  Experience with Regional Accredited/Institution of higher learning strongly preferred.

?  Strong quantitative research skills.

?  Proficiency with current statistical research software.

?  Excellent written and oral presentation skills.

?  Ability to analyze complex issues and present findings to diverse audiences.

?  Experience in data base or data warehouse design.

?  Excellent interpersonal skills.

EDUCATION:

?  Masters degree required
