ETA/Cuisenaire, a leading supplier of math manipulatives, science material, and reading/language arts products, is proud to be the educational partner to teachers across the country. We are seeking a Director of Reading to lead our growth in the reading and literacy market.
Key Job Functions:

? Conduct workshops with existing and new sales representatives and consultants and provide education on current practices and trends.
? Forecast Reading and Literacy sales annually with V.P., Sales and other team members and provide input into new product ROI documents.
? Collaborate with marketing to analyze sales of various product lines and develop strategies to ensure revenue from existing product lines.
? Demonstrate knowledge and manage all components of state and key district adoption cycles to assure securing of the adoption.
? Work with Educators and Sales Consultants to promote, present and close sales.
? Assist in the writing and implementation of a five-year strategic plan for the growth and development of the Reading/Literacy portion of the ETA/Cuisenaire business.
? Collaborate with Marketing/Product Development to launch new product lines by planning for and carrying out all aspects for the introduction and release of new products. This may include a formal launch plan, catalog consultation, collateral marketing pieces, packaging configurations, pricing strategies, sales projections, ?workshopping,? consulting, etc.
? Organize and lead ?invitational? promo meetings in key areas to appropriately introduce key products and product lines, using our authors.
? Institute, maintain field contact, and utilize a field sales advisory panel to keep current with market selling trends.
? Develop and maintain Reading Sales Training Manual for use by field sales consultants.
? Direct and manage Reading Professional Development/Professional Support Services activities to maximize coverage, staying within budgeted expense parameters, and fulfilling needs of field sales team.
? Establish relationships and make presentations to state/local reading officials and literacy ?thought? leaders to introduce them to the Company and its products.
Requirements:

? BA/BS required.
? Significant proven experience presenting and selling Reading and Literacy and related products
? Expertise in developing and delivering workshop/in service training.
? Clearly demonstrated project management successes
? Proven management skills of per diems and consultants
? Contributions to the development and successful implementation of long-range, strategic planning.
? On-time and on-budget expertise in the launch of major Reading/Literacy programs.
? Outstanding communication skills, both written and oral.
? Elementary school teaching experience preferred.
? Ability to travel 50-75%.
