Director, Worldwide Technical Field Readiness

o Develop programs and practices that are relevant, timely and value-add activities addressing the technical knowledge needs of all Lines of Business (i.e. Systems Engineering, Professional Services, Customer Support, Partners)
o Implement consistent and scalable processes with all Lines of Business to plan and initiate readiness and enablement deployment strategies that meet knowledge requirements
o Develop relationships and processes to ensure the Technical Field Readiness program is in alignment with corporate direction as well as sales and marketing initiatives and requirements
o Implement infrastructure to ensure the Technical Field Readiness organization is tightly aligned and integrated with the Sales Enablement organization (strategy, direction and processes)
o Develop and implement continuous process improvement in all technical training development, delivery and knowledge management processes
o Drive courseware development process which ensures that training delivery methods are aligned with the unique client needs and business strategy using the best media for the content and the user
o Create and implement infrastructure decisions that result in scalable/flexible processes, faster time-to-market deliverables, and multiple delivery modes to support a highly productive and value-add learning environment
o Define and implement strategic decisions that reduce overall training costs while improving learning, retention and productivity results?creating a more highly skilled technical workforce
o Implement a communications strategy that ensures alignment, buy-in and successful execution on business objectives across BEA's technical community and with peer stakeholders
o Manage decisions that impact the ability to develop a shared vision, common language and learning culture throughout BEA's technical community
o Develop appropriate measurements and implement corresponding tracking systems to measure the successful and timely execution of business goals and product rollout
o Directly interact with Lines of Business and peer stakeholders on a regular basis to solicit feedback on the effectiveness of readiness methods
o Provide leadership, vision and strategic direction for a company-wide knowledge management strategy
o Create a team-oriented environment characterized by trust, cooperation, empowerment and willingness to learn
o Actively partner with Lines of Business and peer stakeholders across all geographies to ensure business plan is current and actionable
o Recruit and select appropriately skilled resources for the team based on identified needs and opportunities
o Demonstrate a strong teaming relationship across organizational boundaries including: Sales Enablement, HR, Educational Services and R&D
o Create and maintain a technical enablement business plan that aligns corporate strategy with sales (i.e. field) initiatives and goals
o Provide leadership, vision, initiative and commitment to the Technical Field Readiness organization
o Effectively manage and develop a team of individual contributors and managers through coaching, mentoring and the establishment of business goals and objectives

Qualifications
o Proven ability to work at the senior management and executive level
o Excellent written and verbal communication skills
o Solutions focused, results driven
o Proven ability to write, communicate and execute a business plan
o Proven leadership and management abilities
o Demonstrated understanding of internal and external trends and practices in the area of readiness, enablement, and knowledge management
o Proven ability to influence peers and partners to achieve set goals and objectives
o Strong business acumen in the area of technical field readiness for one or more Lines of Business (i.e. Systems Engineering, Professional Services, Customer Support)
o Project management, program management, performance management and coaching experience
o Proven ability to communicate information effectively and get positive results through others
o Proven ability to work and communicate effectively with all organizational levels
o Proven ability to achieve results working cross-functionally and cross-organizationally
o Proven ability to lead major change management efforts necessary to achieve required business results
o Proven ability to apply leadership skills to the continuum of activities surrounding the establishment of mission, vision, goals, objectives, and the constructive execution of strategic and tactical initiativeso 8 ? 10 years technical field experience (i.e. Professional Services, Systems Engineering)
o 3 - 5 years management experience with 1 ? 3 years senior level experience managing managers
o Business acumen in the area of technical field enablement with proven track record of implementing readiness programs in the field
o Education development and delivery management experience a plus
