Director of Education/Training

Position Purpose:  Provide leadership and direction to the Training and Education staff to achieve established goals and objectives.  Represent the company to dealers, industry groups and organizations. Maintain a strong consumer sensitivity to ensure Education and Training initiatives meet the needs of consumers and dealers.

 

Responsibilities:

Establish, communicate and achieve Education and Training department goals and objectives which support achievement of overall company objectives.

 

Provide leadership and direction to Education and Training staff including those responsible for the development of educational and training support materials?both written and web, public relations, consumer help line, national shows and events.

 

Plan and organize the national training program for Company?s dealers and staff, identify locations and facilities, develop agendas, class schedules and evening activities, identify instructors including leading educators in the industry, business methods trainers and internal staff. Manage facility and special on-site events to ensure programs showcase company products and provide comprehensive training to dealers and staff.

 

Attend national/industry trade shows as necessary to support promotion of company products and services.

 

Provide training programs and communicate Education and Training initiatives to

Company staff with particular emphasis on communication with sales staff.

 

Work with Sales, Marketing and After Sales Service to support product integration and consistent programs.

 

Manage the production of professional, accurate and timely product support media using video, web and print communications.

 

Work closely with industry show promoters, publishers and national teachers, utilizing these resources to continue to build the reputation of the company.

 

Represent the Education and Training department on the executive management team; responsible for strategic planning and goal setting for the organization.

 

Determine departmental budget and resource planning.

 

Participate in semi-annual business/board meetings

 

Qualifications:  Strong Communication Skills, Ability to motivate others, Execution of business plans, Strategic thinking, Strong sewing and industry background, Successful Management Experience desirable.
