Director of Limited Permit X-ray Technician Program

 

 

The Director of the Limited Permit X-ray Technician program reports to the Associate Director of Education for Radiologic Studies, is responsible for the administration and supervision of the program, and may be called upon to teach from time to time. 

 

Administratively, the Director will schedule classes, develop and implement curriculum, advise students, maintain and order equipment and supplies, manage the department budget, oversee clinical training, and ensure regulatory compliance. In addition, the Director will also supervise an instructional staff of 6 including three full time clinical coordinators and an administrative assistant.

 

Maric College in North Hollywood, California (www.mariccollege.edu), a member of the Kaplan Higher Education Corporation family of schools and a leader in the post secondary adult education market, has an immediate opening for the Director of its Limited Permit X-ray Technician program.  The College was established in 1982, has a diverse population of 700 adult learners, and was selected as the Kaplan Higher Education Corporation "College of the Year" in 2000.  Maric College specializes in healthcare career training and, with over 400 students, has one of the largest Radiologic Studies programs in the United States.

 

The successful candidate must have an Associate?s degree or higher, be a California CRT (or eligible) or ARRT certified, and possess a minimum of five (5) years of relevant training and/or clinical experience.  Applicants with teaching and/or management experience are preferred.  Perhaps most importantly, the Director must have good people skills, enjoy working as part of a team, and be committed to the goals of vocational education.
