Job Description: Director of Peter Jay Sharp Programs
The Princeton Review is currently looking for a Director to our Peter Jay Sharp Programs. The Director is required to communicate regularly both verbally and in writing with school administrators, liaisons, parents, students, and members of the staff. The Director must also work directly with the NYC, Brooklyn and Queens?s office staff to ensure operational logistics are fluid between each office.
Operational Responsibilities:
Standard Course Operations Design schedules based on student trendsCreate and assign classes in YonkersCreate and manage teacher policies and proceduresManage course registration of all studentsMaintain data integrity in YonkersScan and turn around massive numbers of testsAssign and manage site directors at different locationsHire, staff, and confirm teachers for coursesEnsure that all classes are covered and substitutes are found when neededBook and manage rooms at TPR and high school locations for coursesOrder and maintain inventory for coursesApprove teacher payroll
PJS-Specific Course OperationsAttend and present at PJS Parent Orientation Meetings for students selected to participate in P/SAT Programs Attend and present at School Liaison meetingsManage initial ?qualifying exam? in April and ensure timely test turnaround for Foundation Staff TPR personnel to assist at the April test and at Parent Orientation MeetingsUse Import Utility function to import all student data into YonkersEnsure all course attendance and homework information is entered after each session and follow up with teachers who do not enter attendance Follow up with PJS Foundation to ensure communication of attendance informationMaintain www.pjsf.net Create follow up data reports on attendance and score improvementCommunicate with Foundation-provided site supervisors at the school sitesDesign and run PJS administrative and professional trainings for teachersRespond to all inquiries from parents, liaisons, students, etc. in a timely and thorough mannerManage ?Participant History? document that tracks students involvement in the program by schoolAssist in contract development and invoicing
Management responsibilities:
The Director is responsible for managing one full time Assistant Director who supports the Peter Jay Sharp ProgramThe Director is responsible for managing relationships with 45-50 school liaisons. These people act as the conduits between the school and The Princeton Review program. These liaisons range in experience and level of understanding. The Director is responsible for consistent, direct and timely communication with the school liaisons and will trouble shoot as needed for these liaisons. The Director is responsible for managing relationships with up to 10 PJSF employees. S/he will be responsible for presenting data on The Princeton Review program to the foundation and will be the direct contact between the partners.The Director is responsible for training and managing a staff of 50-60 P/SAT Teachers committed to The Princeton Review/PJSF Program.
