AutoTrader.com, the leader in online automotive advertising, is looking for an articulate, assertive, and self-motivated Divisional Dealer Trainer to join our team!



The successful Dealer Trainer is a self-starter and has the ability to work independently to achieve desired results as agreed upon with the input of the Sales Training Director and VP of Sales Operations. He/she will have strong curriculum development skills, automotive industry training and management skills coupled with good planning and organizational skills. He/she will be self motivated and able to contribute creative ideas to help the training department achieve its goals.  He/she is self-directed, with good follow-through and follow-up skills. 

 

Responsibilities

 

?  Responsible for providing Dealers with necessary tools and training needed to improve their results with AutoTrader.com/online advertising.

?  Initiate and facilitate seminars and on-going training programs for all dealer training initiatives.

?  Provide Dealer training consistent with the AutoTrader.com consultative philosophy.

?  Assist in development of new training modules for Dealers as required.

?  Assist in training as deemed appropriate by Sales Training Director.

?  Identify successful sales experiences, methods and techniques and share with Dealers nationwide. 

?  Stay current on automotive industry information.

?  Foster relationships with other ATC departments on behalf of the Sales Operations department.

?  Work closely with members of ATC Customer Service Department in determining training needs of Dealers and in selling training programs as deemed necessary to enhance our Dealers? success.

?  Perform evaluations and summaries of each training class and seminar as a tool for improvement. Provide report on evaluations to Sales Training Director.

?  Report to the Sales Training Director each week (Weekly Report) on progress and results.

 

Qualifications

 

?  Automotive retail experience. Must have background working in Sales, Sales Management or General Management in a dealership for no less than three years.

?  Impressive overall sales background. No less than five years total in a retail sales environment.

?  Experience presenting training programs to large groups.

?  Strong communication skills ? face-to-face and written communication.

?  Ability to conduct sound research and assist in development of training programs for Dealers.

?  Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and in using projectors when delivering training programs or presenting to Dealers.

?  Detail-oriented along with sense of big picture and urgency.
