Education Manager
The Education Manager will plan and implement seminars and workshops that are held nationally for health care administrators. Education programming is focused on both core competencies in the health field as well as advanced programming for highly-experienced executives. This position is responsible for working with subject matter experts to plan design appropriate content, program and project management, and hiring and overseeing faculty. The education manager is also responsible for program evaluation and quality improvement. This role also includes providing input into strategic education initiatives. Budget oversight and accountability to meeting revenue objectives are an essential part of this position. Therefore, for-profit education experience is highly desirable.
The Medical Group Management Association (MGMA), founded in 1926, is the nation's principal voice for medical group practice. MGMA's 20,000 members manage and lead more than 12,000 organizations in which more than 242,000 physicians practice.
The Learning and Networking Center of MGMA produces national, regional and specialty conferences throughout the country and support all special interest group activities throughout the association. This position is key in helping the organization to expand education delivery through distance learning modalities. The organization is accredited through several professional continuing education credit bodies and strict accreditation guidelines are followed for program development.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in adult education, management or related degree required. Master's degree prefered. Minimum of 3-5 years experience in the management of adult education programming which includes development of needs assessment, developing education or training content, instructional design, faculty management, subjective evaluation, and budget development and oversight. Experience in association management, for-profit education and/or health care are highly desireable.
