DeVry University in Central Florida seeks an

 Educational Advisor-Presenter for the greater Central Florida region.

Working as an Educational Advisor, this position will require an individual to work out of the home under limited supervision and be responsible for generating prospective students for enrollment in DeVry?s academic programs; obtain prospective students through high school and community college visits; contact, screen and conduct personal application interviews to qualified students to start the application and enrollment process; be responsible for all phases of the student college admissions/acceptance process up through enrollment in DeVry University.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Commits the time and effort to visit all high schools/community colleges in the territory in order to establish rapport with the educators.

2. Makes informational presentations to all levels of educators in high schools/community colleges and other educational institutions to encourage them to recommend DeVry University to qualified students.

3. Conducts educational and motivational classroom career guidance presentations to groups of high school students (juniors and seniors primarily, but also other groups of education-seeking students).

4. Conducts DeVry specific presentations at high schools and community colleges to initially screen prospective students.

5. Carefully screens and assesses all prospective students to ensure that they have the student potential, traits, characteristics, and financial wherewithal to stay-the-course and remain enrolled until graduation.

6. Conducts personal home application interviews with the student and parents to qualify candidates and to explain DeVry?s academic programs, admission requirements, cost, financial aid options, student services, etc. and to assist qualified students through the application process. 7. Maintains close contact with the student and parents to ensure that all transcripts, testing requirements, financial aid documents and other items relating to admission/acceptance are submitted to complete the registration process.

8. Utilizes competent administrative skills by getting enrollment tasks done on time and within budget; maintains Department of Enrollment Management records and completes all standard reports and ad hoc reports, when needed, on time.

Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills

Bachelor?s Degree is preferred, but not required; minimum 3 years sales experience required. Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently out of the home. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills are required. Must be intelligent and must have persuasive skills and must understand and properly interpret human behavior. Must have excellent public speaking skills and to be able to speak well and be clearly understood. Must be a competent administrator, computer literate, a self-starter and have the ability to work with little supervision. Must be a team player, willing to share and exchange ideas. Must have the ability to make ethical decisions, doing what is always best for the students as well as the Company.

Must be willing to work evenings and some weekends and have reliable transportation.
