Waterford Research Institute, the developer of the Waterford Early Reading Program? and Waterford Early Math and Science?, is currently looking for an Evaluation Department Manager to supervise and coordinate all evaluation projects.

About the Opportunity

Waterford Research Institute requires an Evaluation Manager who is familiar with academia; publishing research, writing grants, and generally contributing to the community. You will be responsible for evaluation design, coordinating usability tests and conducting research studies. WRI has a community center, a usability lab, and a private school of 1,000 students that we regularly collaborate with ? thus we are going to be interested in qualitative as well as quantitative data. We are rapidly growing and expanding internationally and expect to have data from millions of children from diverse ethnic, socioeconomic, and cultural backgrounds using our programs and we are deeply committed to making sure that these programs are effective.  You will be in charge of analyzing these data and collaborating with other divisions to ensure that Waterford is achieving its social mission. You must have a background and understanding of education and the capability of assimilating and understanding core concepts of the technological revolution on education. This position is located in Salt Lake City, Utah with some travel required.

 

Qualifications3+ years data mining or data analysis3+ years background in statisticsSomeone who thrives without tight supervision. Excellent writing skills and the ability to research and write grants.Excellent communication skills.The ability to understand difficult concepts and research findings. 3+ years management experience. You must be able to work with people at a distance and coordinate what the Evaluation group is doing with other high-performing individuals and teams within Waterford.Masters degree in a related field with a strong logical bent and understanding of designing and implementing studies (Experimental psychology, statistics, economics, etc.). 3+ years of relevant work experience. PhD preferred
