Firmwide Attorney Development Manager of Attorney Relations

Under the supervision of the Director of Attorney Development, the firmwide Manager of Attorney Relations administers, plans and oversees the development and implementation of  programs and systems that support attorney development on a firmwide basis.

Responsibilities:
Partner And Associate RelationsLeading the design and implementation of a new and lateral partner integration program, designing orientation and integration approaches and programs for partners based on best practice, industry, and competitor research;Leading the design and overseeing the coordination of associate business development programs, mentoring programs and other professional development programs;Leading the exit interview process, conducting data analysis, and making recommendations based on associate feedback;Designing and implementing a work assignment process for partners and associates;Partnering with attorneys and faculty subject matter experts to design training program content and identify effective delivery approaches; Designing and providing a career advisory program for associates;Providing consultative services to attorneys, department chairs and/or attorney development chairs on professional development services, programs and processes;Providing consultative services and partnering with Diversity and Global Talent, and Recruiting;Collaborating with and advising firmwide AD on the design and coordination of advanced practice ?specific and general training programs;Providing direction to Attorney Development  and Attorney Recruiting and Development staff regarding scheduling, training program coordination, materials, and CLE accreditation;Employing diagnostic tools, including administering needs assessments for training programs, conducting informational interviews with attorneys at all levels, determining the approach for analyzing collected information, writing customized reports and presenting results to attorneys at all levels;Preparing analyses and summaries of program evaluations, reviewing evaluation results with program faculty, making recommendations to improve future programs;Supervising, managing and developing full-time Attorney Development staff;Keeping up-to-date on current trends, developments, and best practices in the field of  Attorney/Professional Development.

Requirements:Ph.D. in Education, HRD, OD, Psychology or  a J.D. in Law  with a minimum of 5-7 years of experience in professional development, organizational development,  training and associate relations; MA degree in Education, HRD, OD, Psychology, Business (with HR emphasis) or related field with a minimum of 10 years experience in professional development and/or training and organizational Large law firm experience preferred.
