1. HE109: Lighting, Temperature, and Water Control Systems

 

Duration: 60 Hours

The Lighting, Temperature, and Water Control Systems course discusses effective management of three energy and utility-based systems ? lighting; heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning (HVAC); and water ? through implementation of home technology. It introduces the basic concepts of the three systems and discusses the devices and components used to automate and manage lighting, HVAC, and water systems. The course also discusses the current industry standards, rules, and regulations pertaining to the three systems. Students learn how to plan, design, install, and configure the three systems based on client requirements and other technical considerations. They also learn how to detect and troubleshoot common problems.

Prerequisites: Electrical and Electronic Fundamentals (HE102)

Scope of Work:

Course Name: Lighting, Temperature, and Water Control 

1. SME - To build course structure, competencies, course content (will involve writing lessons), instructor notes, assignments (laboratory and pen and paper assignments) and their proposed solutions, projects, and assessments with their solutions. Identify the equipment/tools to be used in the course assignments from the equipment master list. The course structure will be based on the course outline provided by NIIT. 

 2. ITR - Check for technical correctness of course structure, competencies, course content, assignments, projects, and assessments.

 

Experience;

SME - Person having domain expertise in the specified course area. He/She should have 3-4 years of experience working in the Home Technology Industry. Instructors with hands-on experience in the HTI industry will be preferred. Need not be an HTI+ certified professional
