DEPUTY DIRECTOR (full time)

 

Responsible for assisting the Program Director in: overseeing the operations of Tri-CAP?s Children and Family Services (CFS) Department, developing and implementing policies and procedures for program operations, supervising and evaluating Senior Managers, and ensuring compliance with the Head Start Program Performance Standards and applicable state and local regulations. Oversees the operations of the Department in the absence of the Program Director. Provides leadership to the Senior Management Team, promoting communication and collaboration. Represents the CFS Department on various community committees. Prepares, organizes, and completes documents such as monthly reports. Works with the program Director to prepare, organize, and complete reports required by Head Start and other funding sources.

 

Qualifications: Bachelor?s degree in Early Childhood Education, human services, or related field plus 5 years experience in administration, child development, or education, OR Master?s degree plus 2 years experience in management. Demonstrated supervisory ability with high degree of competence with management or leadership skills. Computer experience required: word processing, data collection and analysis, and electronic communication internally and externally. Access to legally registered vehicle for employment use and valid driver?s license.

 

Head Start experience a plus. Preferred: Experience with operations of Early Childhood programs for preschool children. Experience with issues facing low-income families. Understanding of Mass. Dept. of Early Education and Care (EEC) requirements, Head Start Performance Standards, and NAEYC Accreditation criteria and process. EEC Director II certification.

 

40 hours, $31,300 ? $31,500  (depending on qualifications).
