IPG Channel Technical Consultant

MarketStar Corporation currently has a great opportunity available in the Northest Territory as an IPG Channel Training Technical Consultant working in the Value Added Reseller Channel.

The IPG Channel Training Technical Consultant (TC) will be responsible for covering the Northest Territory which includes Boston, New York, Newark, and surrounding areas. Their fundamental charter is to drive sales and increase market awareness of HP's vast portfolio of products and solutions. Toward this end, IPG Channel Training Technical Consultants engage HP's channel partners in a variety of training activities, from on-site 1:1 training with single partners to 1: Many trainings with multiple reseller partners. The Technical Consultant will also support trade shows, end user customer facing events, and internal training as needed. The Technical Consultant also plays an integral role in HP?s Solutions VIP Program by teaching consultative sales training courses to channel partners.

**This will be a home based office in one of the targeted cities (Boston, NYC, Newark, Etc...).


QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED:

* Thorough understanding of U.S. channel sales dynamics, particularly within high-tech industry (HP experience preferred).
* Extensive understanding in regards to industry leading desktops, notebooks, handhelds, servers, storage, and printing/imaging.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

? 2 Year college degree or equivalent experience
? 2+ years sales and training experience with Distribution and Comdex level channel partners.
? 2+ years training experience with printing and imaging solutions, clients, servers, storage, and networking (HP product experience preferred).
? 2+ years experience marketing/selling computer/printing and imaging products and solutions.
? Polished presentation skills with both large and small audiences
? Experience with strategic and tactical planning by territory and account
? Sales and Training experience within the 1st and 2nd tier Reseller Channel
? Ability to work as a team with other representatives, including those in the field
? Able to exercise discretion and independent judgment
? Strong verbal and written communication abilities
? Excellent Presentation Acumen
? Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
? Ability to follow through and meet deadlines
? Flexible and adaptable to change
? Possess a high degree of initiative, exercises outstanding judgment, and exhibits a high level of creativity
? 50 percent travel requirements
