We are currently looking for a passionate, focused, and experienced instructional designer to join our Dearborn, MI  office.

 

Responsibilities

 

IDs design and develop multimedia instructional materials for computer-based training, CD-ROMs, web-based training, web sites, and other online systems, satellite training solutions, and other delivery platforms by performing the following duties:

 Develops and/or supports course outline using flowcharts, creates scripts and storyboards for various delivery methods including the Internet, Intranet, and CD-ROM.Develops learning courses that support training needs.Ensures that the courses meet the learning objectives and makes necessary adjustments.Researches current developments in the training industry including presentation aids, equipment, presentation techniques, adult learning methodology, and related topics.Other duties as assigned.

 

Education & Experience

 BA/BS in instructional design or related area required, masters preferred.3-5+ yrs instructional design, CBT, WBT, and training development experience. Ford (FCSD, sales, service) experience a big plus!Experience using authoring software and multimedia tools such as Director, Macromedia Flash MX, etc., a plus.Must have experience scripting, developing, and incorporating both multimedia and interactivity. Demonstrates experience with adult learning theory and instructional techniques. Familiarity/experience with the course development process, from the initial requirement documentation through all phases of the production cycle, final delivery and course maintenance. Excellent writing and editing skills.

 

Familiar with object-oriented design as it may be applied to training and documentation using Reusable Information Objects or Learning Objects... Information Mapping.

Basic spreadsheet, word processing, and communications software knowledge a must.  Multimedia experience, in a corporate setting, desirable.  Graphics and print production knowledge a plus.  Experience with page layout/graphics/Illustrator/authoring applications desirable.  Ability to handle deadline pressures a must!  Requires travel.
