Hours: M-F, between 8am - 10pm Classes begin Sept 2006 Part-Time Day Instructor(s) for Electronics Technology Reports To: Dean of Electronics
Status: Independent Contractor Location: Elk Grove
Applicants should possess academic and practical experience in AC/DC electronics, semiconductor devices and amplifier circuits, analog communications, digital/data communications, and modern wireless communications systems. Preference given to applicants that are knowledgeable about control systems or network engineering. Must be able to demonstrate hands-on experience with basic EE laboratory equipment and high frequency equipment in a teaching lab environment. Demands excellent communication and presentation skills. As well as the ability to work with a diverse student population.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
?Develop, teach, and assess undergraduate engineering technology courses . This includes the development, teaching, and assessment of related laboratory courses. ?Compute and submit student grades and assessments as scheduled. ?Compile and submit sample student work as scheduled. ?Participate in University Days, faculty meetings, course-sequencing meetings, and committee meetings as scheduled. ?Advise and assist students with their senior projects and participate in senior project assessment. ?Other duties as required.
Education: Minimum three years industrial experience. Teaching experience strongly desired. Minimum masters degree (Ph.D. preferred) in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or closely related field.
