Would you enjoy sharing your knowledge and skills of medical assisting with our students at CHI Institute - Southampton?  As full time, Medical Assistant Instructor you will provide your students with the skills and knowledge necessary to obtain entry-level employment in the medical field.  We will consider professionals who lack the teaching experience but are committed to developing our dedicated students for this career path.

 

You will work in our modern facility that includes spacious classrooms on a 5 acre suburban location.  With over 600 students we have an established campus with several associate degree and diploma program offerings.  If you believe in ?building futures one success story at a time ? than you will thrive here.

 

What you will do:Provide students with a complete syllabus containing course objectives on the first day of class.Present enthusiastic, well prepared, organized, and clear lectures and classroom activities consistent with the course syllabus.Continually promote the development and effective use of skills in areas such as critical and analytical thinking, evaluation, communication, computation, problem solving and decision-making.Provide the student with timely information and feedback on his/her academic progress relative to quizzes, tests, homework and projects.Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of student academic and attendance performance.Possess a thorough knowledge and understanding of all school policies, and actively participate in their implementation and enforcement.

 

The skills and experience you need:

 Minimum 3 years working experience in a medical office as medical assistant with Anatomy, Physiology, Vital signs, Urinalysis, Venipuncture, etc. knowledge and skills.Teaching experience a plus, but not necessary (for one year a mentor will be assigned to assist in gaining strategies and skill)Ability to be highly organized, & detail orientedExcellent persuasive communication skillsAbility to interact effectively and professionally with students, parents, staff & facultyConsistently display the highest levels of integrityExceptional social & customer focused skillsPrior career-school experience a BIG PLUS, but not necessary
