Knowledge Engineer
Come join a winning team! Warranty Corporation of America, an Asurion Company, is seeking a Knowledge Engineer. This position is a result of significant growth company wide. The Knowledge Engineer will report to the Director of Training in our Training Department. Ideal candidates must have experience in Knowledge Management, Technical Writing, Library Science, Organizational Development or other related field.
Major Responsibilities
Define and develop the overall knowledge management strategy and visionImplement a knowledge management application (built or bought) that addresses targeted requirements Partner with management team to promote KM and ensure a thriving culture of knowledge sharing Act as a liaison between customer support teams, Subject Matter Experts and internal groups to prioritize and resolve business and technical issues. Lead the design and development of key knowledge data that will be captured as part of the service process for conversion into knowledge articles Develop and document plans, processes, and guidelines for knowledge acquisition, materials review, sanitization and storageCoordinate communication vehicles to educate employees on knowledge initiatives Ensure continued enhancement of knowledge management techniques in conjunction with evolving industry trends and standards; monitor and evaluate the KM program, including external benchmarkingOwn the ongoing support and maintenance of the knowledge management system and all related processes
Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor?s or Master?s degree, preferably in the area of Knowledge Management, Technical Writing, Library Science, Organizational Development or other related field.
3-5 years experience as a Knowledge Engineer !!
