LPQ Training Supervisor

This position oversees the day-to-day operational functions of a LPQ training department, to include work flow management, inventory and staffing needs, systems, procedures, reporting and training.

Oversees work activities and monitors work flow to ensure systems and procedures are documented, training material developed and reports generated to meet business needs.

Selects and motivates team members to ensure efficient and effective operational outcomes.

Responsible for scheduling, managing work flows and priorities, and communicating with other supervisors as needed to ensure effective teamwork.

Interprets guidelines, regulatory requirements, contractual agreements and other related documentation as they pertain to the services provided by the unit.

Consults and makes recommendations to management on operational issues.

Leadership responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training staff; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and counseling employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Provide necessary guidance to allow each team member to reach their fullest potential.

Must take initiative and think strategically.

Should be able to prioritize and understand timeframe implications. Must be bottom-line oriented.

Must be able to deal positively with ambiguity.

Must be detail oriented.

The Supervisor needs to have the ability to travel between BSC sites on occasion.

Excellent Supervisory and people management experience is a must.

The ideal candidate should have an understanding of Adult Learning Theory.

Experience creating Blended Learning solutions is desirable.

Trainer experience is definitely required.

A requirement of this position is to observe trainers in the classroom environment and provide training delivery coaching and support to increase the effectiveness of the trainers.

The ideal candidate will be a Certified Trainer in programs such as Achieve Global, Interactive Associates, DDI, Myer's Briggs, etc.

Instructional design and technical writing experience is desirable.

Call Center Training experience is desirable.

Project management experience is desirable.

The ideal candidate will likely be a member of one of the following organizations: ISPI, ASTD.

BA degree or equivalent experience and five years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

At least three years progressively responsible experience in a related role in the health care industry.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Good leadership skills.
