Learning Product Content Developer

Mentor Graphics, a leader in EDA, has the following position open in their Wilsonville, OR headquarters.  The primary role is to assist, train, and aid subject matter experts in creating How-Tos and Tutorials. The purpose of this role is to ensure consist processes and formats are being used across the organization to capture relevant content; making it accessible on SupportNet for customer and internally to resolve technical problems. Business focus is on driving customer product adoption and deflection of call-based workload. Key work includes program management, proactive content identification, publishing, and lifecycle management. Major Responsibilities include:
+ Maintain development processes and standards.
+ Ensure consistent, relevant, and timely publishing of content, working closely with Knowledge Management colleagues.
+ Additionally, works with CSD Contributing Editors, Technical Writers, Education Services, product division contacts, release team, Field AEs and other content authors to reduce the barrier to developing multimedia-based self-paced learning demos and tutorials.
+ Provide support for Captivate, our standard screen-recording tool, and best effort for Camtasia. Requirements include:+Understanding of adult learning theory, instructional design concepts and techniques.
+ Ability to lead through collaboration, influence, and negotiation.
+ Strong interpersonal, oral presentation, and written communication skills.
+ A track record of execution and problem solving with minimal direction.
+ Process development and program management expertise a plus.
+ Preferred prior experience in delivery of technical support to customers through a website.
+ Preferred some working knowledge of EDA industry.
+ Experienced level role requiring BS/BA degree or equivalent and 4 or more years of related work experience.
