Library Services Director

Vistronix, Inc. is seeking an experienced Library Services Director for our corporate headquarters in McLean, VA.  Individual must possess a strong knowledge of  the growing convergence of traditional mediated information services in libraries with non-mediated services provided by content management systems/electronic records management systems.  Ideal candidate must have experience in records management, content management and library services. Individual will provide consultation and management support to various clients.  Responsibilities involve strong client interaction and excellent marketing skills. The successful candidate will enjoy varied duties balanced between managing library and content management operations and consulting services centered on requirements analysis, solution development and implementation planning. This position requires an MLS or MLIS, and 5 years of experience in providing management or consultation services in the Federal Information Management arena.  The ideal candidate will have experience in managing library and content/records management operations and possess some consulting experience centered on requirements analysis, solution development and implementation planning. Individual must also be able to work collegially with clients, company teams and teaming partners on both operations management and proposal preparation. Ability to gain appropriate security clearances on government sites highly desired.  Membership in professional associations in the library and records fields is desirable, e.g. ALA, SLA, AIIM, ARMA.  Certifications in any of the following are desirable: records management, content management, archives management, project management.
