Market Development Representative

Private Student Loans


First Marblehead Corporation, an industry leader in providing services for private, non-governmental, education lending in the United States, and TERi, a recognized leader in the field of information services and private loan guarantor for education, seek a Market Development Representative. The Market Development Representative will work directly with school and lender contacts in the region to increase utilization of all TERi guaranteed loan programs and services. The position requires extensive travel predominantly in Midwest region for conference participation and meetings with school administrators. The ideal candidate will work out of his or her home office in a strategic location within Pennsylvania. Periodic meetings in the Boston office are required.

The ideal candidate must meet the following qualifications:
o 3-5 years of financial aid or student loan experience preferred
o Proven track record of cultivating, maintaining and enhancing ongoing relationships with school and/or lender contacts
o Possess a high degree of professionalism and integrity
o Be very independent, organized, self motivated and committed to achieving the goals of the marketing team
o A self confident public speaker, comfortable speaking in front of small and large groups
o Possess working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook
o BA/BS degree preferred
