Prentice Hall, the leading publisher of Grades 6-12 educational materials, has opportunities available for Math Editors to join our team of publishing professionals on a 'term of project' basis in our Boston, Massachusetts location.

Math Editors have primary responsibility for the editorial execution of a specific project(s) or parts of projects. Primary responsibilities include:

' Assists in all phases of project development with primary emphasis on developing and editing Student Edition textbooks; ancillaries and technology products.
' Coordinates with Design, Production, and other departments from start up phase to bound book or go-live date
' May oversee work of freelancers and/or development houses

The ideal candidates possess a degree(s) in mathematics, mathematics education or computer science, some teaching experience in the middle grades or high school, and strong writing skills. Ability to proofread; copyedit and copy writing skills is essential. Educational publishing experience is a strong plus.
