Math & Science Teacher/Coordinator

Nativity Prep Academy is a co-educational, private middle school (grades 6-8) dedicated to providing a tuition-free education to students of all faiths from economically disadvantaged families in southeast San Diego. We are looking for a dedicated professional teacher, with a minimum of 2-3 years of classroom instructional experience, who is committed to middle school education and who is able to commit to an extended-day and extended-year academic schedule. The primary responsibilities of the master teacher will be teaching 2-3 classes/day (with a focus on 8th grade algebra and physical science), and providing guidance and formal supervision for a beginning teacher-colleague; the primary responsibilities of the math & science coordinator position will be working to develop, and subsequently to oversee, our schoolwide math & science program. Coaching responsibilities include managing practices and games for interscholastic sports teams in one, two, or three seasons/year.
