Medical Insurance/billing/coding Instructor

Bissonnet,  TX campus.


We are looking for Full-time and Adjunct Instructor to teach Evening classes for our Medical Insurance Billing and Coding program. Responsibilities Include:

?  Maintain a teaching assignment each module.

?  Plan course instruction based upon approved syllabus/outline provided, to assure that course content and objectives are met. Distribute a copy of the module calendar to all students at first class meeting.

?  Cover all material in depth and scope as described in syllabus.

?  Utilize a variety of teaching styles and methods to accommodate diverse learning styles of students.

?  Design, administer and grade examinations to assess achievement of course objectives as identified in the syllabus.

?  Begin class at the designated time and provide a full period of instruction for the class periods(s) involved.

?  Actively work to maintain retention in all classes taught, by maintaining accurate attendance records daily, calling all students who are absent, and recording absentee information in roster after each class meeting and communicating attendance ?concerns? to the Program Chair or DOE.

?  Offer suggestions and recommendations regarding revisions to the curriculum to the Program Chair or DOE. .

?  Be available to advise students, tutor and provide other assistance as needed.

Requirements:

?  Must possess CCS or CPC certification

?  2 years experience in medical insurance billing /coding. 

?  Familiarity with MediSoft (Medware preferred) program and excellent computer skills required.

?  Teaching experience preferred, but not required, will train.
