Adjunct Nurse

 

The Adjunct Nursing Professor instructs classes and clinical labs in a manner consistent with the approved course syllabus, using accepted and effective teaching methods to contribute to the achievement of the institutional goals. 

 

Responsibilities:

Additional duties include advising and tutoring students through regular office hours and ad hoc sessions.  Keep and maintain current and accurate attendance and grade records, as well as develop appropriate classroom and clinical lesson plans.  Remain current in respective teaching field.  Participate in faculty meetings, instructional seminars, and in-service training sessions.  Take an active interest in school activities such as student functions, graduation exercises, open houses, new student orientations and advisory board meetings.

 

Requirements:

To successfully perform the functions of this position, the applicant must have a BSN-RN Degree; Masters Degree is preferred.  Must also have licensure or eligibility for licensure in the State of Colorado, clinical experience in community health or medical-surgical nursing of adults, pediatrics or older adults, strong interpersonal and advising skills, and a commitment to learn.  Preferred attributes include teaching experience at the university level or in clinical settings.
