The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years outside b2b sales experience and/or a minimum of 5 years experience in a leadership role in early childhood, is a team player who is enthusiastic, motivated, driven to succeed and professional.  Candidate will also excel at establishing strong positive customer relationships as well as researching and monitoring educational funding. 

 

Job responsibilities include:

 

*  search and monitor educational funding to identify sales opportunities

*  manage existing customer base

*  prospect and cold-call to develop new business relationships

*  establish positive customer relationships and meet sales goals

*  represent Kaplan at conferences and trade shows

 

Job requirements include:

 

*  minimum 2 years outside b2b sales experience and/or a minimum of 5 years experience in a leadershop role in early

  childhood

*  bachelor's degree in business, marketing, child development, education or related field

*  strategically manage the travel within the territory

*  effective communication/negotiation/persuasive/project management/ analytical skills

*  exceptional planning skills with strong organizational and time management

*  work well independently or in a team environment

*  ability to determine decision-maker and close a sale

*  self-motivated exhibiting strong initiative

*  exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills

*  some overnight travel

*  valid driver's license

*  ability to lift up to 50 - 75 lbs. as needed when transporting catalogs and product samples
