Oracle Trainer - Finance

POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for training the branch personnel in the areas of General Ledger and Accounts Payable during a multi-year, multi-system Oracle conversion and the ongoing support and improvement of department processes.  In total, 300 branches are projected to be converted.  This position will be heavily involved in training, implementation and conversion to the Oracle 11.5.9 ERP for the GL and AP functions from the business user side (i.e. in the branches).  This position requires the abilities to communicate with IT and accounting personnel, multi-task and set priorities.

 

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:Deliver classroom and one-on-one instruction for Branch Finance to branch personnel during implementation process. Test trainees to measure progress and to evaluate effectiveness of training. Provide input for continuous development of training materials.Follow up on training effectiveness post-conversionOracle implementation issue resolution for General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets Other system implementation and support tasksAbility to work overtime, particularly during go-live and month/year-end.Assist in developing and maintaining knowledge base of support personnel.Coordinate and participate in other projects as requested/requiredsignificant travel (up to 50-70%) required to branches throughout the United States

 

EDUCATIONMinimum 4 year college degree (prefer a BS in accounting)Minimum of 4 years related business experience in accounting, information systems, and/or Oracle ERP training or implementation experience.
