Pre-K Teacher, Infant Teacher and Teacher assistant

Little Souls Center is a non-profit early childhood center that began in 1990. We are open all year and offer full time and part time programs. 

 

Little Souls is currently seeking to fill the following positions:

Full time Pre-K Teacher;

Full time Teacher Assistant;

Full time Infant Teacher.

 

Our curriculum is emergent based and frequently changing to meet the needs of the children. We place an emphasis on providing opportunities for social interactions, on creating a literacy rich environment, and providing lots of art and science activities.  We want to provoke our children to want to know more. Most importantly, we want our children to have an excellent school experience. 


 

Some of the day to day duties include:


* Providing a safe environment by maintaining orderly, clean, and appealing facilities; following and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal recommendations.

* Informing staff and parents of curriculum by preparing and submitting lesson plans; posting schedules and curriculum outlines.

* Keeping parents informed by posting parent information in the classroom; maintaining and sharing records of child's progress and behavior.

* Encouraging development of student self-control by utilizing classroom management and modeling techniques.

* Ensuring consistency of service by maintaining open communications with parents and staff.


* Improving educational quality by studying, evaluating, re-designing processes and implementing change when needed.
