Preschool Teacher for Child Development Center

JUST US KIDS operates an NAEYC accredited child development center for 74 children 3 months through 5 years old that includes a kindergarten program. We are a non-profit Board operated center established in 1992. We seek a Preschool Teacher for our four year old program. Just Us Kids is dedicated to the developmental philosophy that children learn by doing and that they prosper when their individual emotional, social, intellectual, and physical developmental needs are recognized and supported. Overview of Responsibilities:

Lead Teachers are primarily responsible for planning and implementing their program within the classroom setting in a way that is consistent with both the philosophy of Just Us Kids and the center's chosen curriculum and also geared to meet the individual needs of the age group in their classroom. They are supervised directly by the Center Director and are responsible for overseeing classroom assistant teachers, aides, volunteers, and student teachers.

Qualifications:

BS/BA in Early Childhood Education or related field (e.g., child development). If the degree is in a related field, the candidate must have at least 24 credit hours in ECE and 2 years teaching experience.
