Product Training Coordinator

SummaryThe Product Training Coordinator is responsible for increasing product awareness for all ResearchSoft, TS and partner products. He/she monitors training on library sites, responds to a variety of inquiries including phone, email and fax related to the pre-and post-sales training of our products. 30% travel required, sometimes over the weekends.DescriptionThe Product Training Coordinator is primarily responsible for providing professional product training to customers, product champions and staff using online technologies and visiting sites. It is also important to assist in creating quality materials that complement training activities and increase usage of our products. He/she participates in a variety of marketing activities including product awareness programs, new product releases and our free training copy program. Customer facing events also include conference exhibits and presentations. He/she must maintain a thorough understanding of how the supported products work and are used by the customer base and how to address know/unknown problems. He/she must proactively and independently develop product knowledge and update relative technical skills on an ongoing basis.

? Provide pre-and post sales training support in the field and via WebEx for librarian and endusers on a consistent, ongoing basis. Maintain a frequency agreed upon by supervisor and other training staff. He/she reports on all training sessions providing valuable information on product usage and relationships to sales, marketing and development. Follow-up on open items to make sure the prospect/ customer receives timely responses. Develop product training tools and presentations.
? Produce training materials for each new product release. Assist with proofing user documentation with an emphasis on the tutorial chapter.
? Manage and assist with maintenance of the training request and product champion database. Establish new contacts and help sites initiate their own training activities to increase product exposure.
? Manage and produce campaigns to support our product champions who train on our behalf. This includes project coordination, list and message preparation, and performance assessment. Identify, recommend and execute approved awareness campaigns designed to support strategic objectives and gain positive customer reactions, industry press coverage, and support business partners.
? Assist with staffing and presenting at exhibits and conferences. Travel required, sometimes over the weekends.
? Make suggestions for new ways to use the web to enhance our training programs. Write and test copy/linkages, and measure activity.
Qualifications? B.S. with 5+ years high?tech industry experience.
? Excellent presentation and training skills
? Excellent interpersonal communication and problem solving skills.
? Ability to distill and communicate, both verbal and written, technical information in terms users and developers can understand.
? Report customer experiences to sales and product development.
? Organization, planning, project coordination skills;
? Knowledge of database design and data migration (leads and customer registrations)
? Ability to manage all aspects of direct mail(print online)
? Basic knowledge of how to deliver artwork in required formats
? Ability to meet deadlines.
? High proficiency with Apple OS, Windows OS, MS office, internet connectivity, authoring, design and web software required.
? Ability to travel 30%, sometimes over the weekends.
