Professional Development Specialist

Grow offers dynamic reports and differentiated learning tools in print and online for families, teachers, and educational leaders. We are seeking an experienced Professional Development Specialist that would help develop the instructional design and content for innovative products and services for teachers, instructional leaders, and education leaders at the district and state levels.  As part of the Content Team, the individual will stay abreast of current education research and practice that informs our products and services.  Work closely with other teams including Product Research and Development, Product Analysis and Implementation, Design, Project Management, Client Services, and Sales. Lead and manage the development of educator-focused content for multiple product lines, including dynamic print and web tools and in-person professional development services for educators; this includes writing content and managing vendors and consultants. Contribute to the development, including content creation, of educator-focused prototypes and materials for sales purposes and support the marketing of all educator and professional development products.

This role requires creative, critical thinking, achievement orientation, excellent writing skills, and self-direction as well as a deep understanding of the current education environment. We are looking for candidates who understand the needs of educators at all levels and who can successfully collaborate with all Grow teams to develop effective and innovative educator materials.



? Bachelor's degree (Master’s preferred)

? K-12 teaching or school administration experience (3-5 years)

? Experience in educational publishing (1-2 years)

? Strong project management and documentation skills

? Proven success at collaborating across teams of technologists, product developers, designers and client-facing staff

? Excellent writing and oral presentation skills

? Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, think-on-your-feet business environment

? Superb organizational skills

? Highly adaptable and process-oriented with the ability to multi-task and juggle ad hoc projects

? Demonstrated ability to enter new situation and effect change

? Self-starter, with the ability to work independently
