Project Manager, Virtual Learning

Computer Associates International, Inc. (NYSE: CA) is one of the world's largest management software companies, delivering software and services across operations, security, storage, life cycle and service management. We are currently looking for a qualified Project Manager, Virtual Learning to join our Learning Office team. Location is flexible within US.

The Project Manager, Virtual Learning position is responsible for the implementation and maintenance of CA's virtual learning technologies (e.g., Virtual Classrooms, Virtual Labs, Collaboration, WEB Instructor Led Training [WILL]). Virtual learning technologies are used to supplement the learning experiences for CA's employee, partner, and customer training.

Key responsibilities include working with developers on curriculum development teams and reviewing courseware deliverables to ensure effectiveness for WILL and/or virtual classroom and lab environments. Facilitating the creation and distribution of recorded virtual classroom solutions, aligning virtual classroom capabilities with virtual lab technologies and implementing and maintaining other virtual learning solutions, such as Collaboration.
Additional responsibilities include identifying problems, suggesting and implementing appropriate solutions, verifying corrective actions, and facilitating proactive systemic change efforts. Updating and developing new processes, standards, templates, and strategies as they affect course development and virtual learning delivery. Assisting development teams with meeting the virtual learning usability needs of global customers. Working with members of the Technical Operations team to ensure the hardware infrastructure is in place to support robust virtual learning experiences. Working with members of the CA Education Media Factory on the professional production of recorded WILL sessions.

Ideal candidates should have 3 or more years experience in developing and delivering virtual learning solutions such as WILL involving virtual classrooms and/or labs. Experience in the production of blended IT learning solutions preferred. Proficiency with virtual classroom technology such as InterWise or Breeze, Microsoft Office, Adobe/Macromedia products (Flash, Dreamweaver, Captivate, Photoshop, etc.). They should have strong instructional design skills, solid program and project management skills, ability to create and sustain strong working relationships with other CA teams and the ability to understand learner needs and priorities as they relate to CA solutions. Business travel of approximately 10 percent yearly is expected for this position. Bachelor's Degree required in Instructional Technology/Media, Education, or a related field.
