POSITION OVERVIEW
Sales Innovation Mission:
Sales Innovation is a Sales Training, Coaching and Development Specialty. Our mission is to ensure that all sales teams are trained and coached in the core sales skills and knowledge required to make Playground the #1 Real Estate Resource for the world?s ultimate playgrounds.
The Regional Director of Sales Innovation (RDSI) plays a critical role in delivering this mission. This is an ongoing sales support relationship which starts with the Sales Director and orientation of the Sales Director and Team, and provides ongoing support and training.
Acting as the consummate connector, coach and mentor, the RDSI brings a wealth of proprietary and industry wide knowledge to the field and connects the needs of the remote locations to the Vancouver office and Sales Innovation. The RDSI partners with the Sales Directors and Sales Teams and serves as an objective, supportive and innovative set of eyes. Through Coaching, Championing, Mentoring, Motivating, and Training, the RDSI will support the Sales Director to inspire team effectiveness and growth, as well as consistency in our sales process and utilization of tools. Through their one on one interaction with Sales Director?s and their teams, the RDSI seeks to create self-sufficiency at the resort level, by developing skill-sets and increasing ownership and accountability.
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
1.Refine and Develop the Playground Brand of Selling
?The RDSI is a champion of the SI mission and Playground?s Branded Way, always seeking to improve and expand its reach.
?Communicate the pulse and needs of each resort to SI to ensure effective allocation of resources to develop new training materials.
?The RDSI forms an integral part of the SI team and serves as an ambassador of SI in the field.
?A partner to the Director of Sales Innovation in the development of modules, and training as well as the dissemination of key learning?s to the field.
?Champion SI specific and Playground ? wide initiatives through demonstration of unshakeable belief and creation of accountability for follow through.
?Participate in ?innovationeering.?
?With the VP SI, constantly explore opportunities to learn from and work with external partners to bring new ideas and experiences into the Branded Way of Selling.
2.Support, selection, and orientation of Regional Directors, Sales
Directors, and Sales Specialists
?Work with Employee Experience and hiring manager in interviewing all new Sales Directors.
?Orientation of New Sales Directors (in collaboration with other specialties as required) Support Sales Directors in orienting new Sales Specialists, through regular visits, one on ones, and continuous feedback and through 6-8 week coaching call program for specialists.
?Support Sales Directors in new team design and recruitment.
?Delivery of Sales Performance Questionnaire for both the recruitment and continued growth of the Sales Director and his/her team.
?Provide assistance to the Business Unit where needed to ensure that each resort has the optimal mix of sales team members.
3.Assess training needs and sales team
?Works with RDs and SDs to assess training needs and develop tailored sales team training plans to suit team experience, project specifics, and stage of roadmap.
4.Deliver structured training
?Work with Director Sales Innovation to ensure own knowledge and language is constantly refreshed, up to date and consistent with other specialties.
?Agree on clear priorities and learning outcomes for sales team training with BUs via quarterly planning cycle.
?Deliver project specific training with clear outcomes agreed in advance.
?Support / partner Launch Innovation in project specific training for those projects where LI is retained.
?Act as a strategic partner to the Director of Sales Innovation in the development and delivery of sales training.
?Brings all new learning, modules and experiences developed by SI to the field: Proactively participate with ongoing skills training (e.g. schools, calls, etc.).
?Work with Marketing Innovation Team to understand marketing tools, processes and methodology. This allows the RDSI to train sales people on how to work with marketing and allows the RDSI to exemplify the spirit of sales and marketing partnership.
5.Provide ongoing coaching: Regional Directors, Sales Directors, and
Sales Specialists
?Coach, Champion, Mentor, Motivate and Train Sales Director and team around sales process, skills development and tool utilization.
?To coach Regional Directors to identify growth areas and succession plans for people in sales positions in the field, cross-resort and cross Business Units.
?Ensures adequate, appropriate and timely recognition occurs in the field by keeping a finger on the pulse of the people at all times
?Model and grow coaching in the field through bi-weekly one on one?s with Sales Directors A champion of Sales Directors in the field by approaching all training, mentoring and coaching as a transfer of knowledge and competency.
?Participate in / lead bi-weekly management development calls.
?Monthly regular reporting of resort activity to the Director of Sales Innovation.
6.Evaluate effectiveness of training
?Evaluate effectiveness of training versus learning outcomes and replan.
?Report activities and results vs. agreed outcomes monthly.
POSITION SPECIFICATIONS
Qualifications and Experience:
? University/College degree in business preferred
? 2+ years actual sales and leadership training/coaching experience is required
? 3+ years experience in a professional leadership capacity within a sales organization, real estate preferred
? Verifiable history of personal sales success
? General business experience including bottom line responsibilities, real estate or resort industry preferred
? Formal accreditation/certification in a nationally recognized coaching or training organization
? Preference to internal candidates with 2+ years experience within Playground
