Developmental/Transitional Reading/English Tenure-Track Faculty

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

This is a ten-month position scheduled to begin January, 2007 (subject to available funding).  The instructor?s primary teaching responsibilities will include developmental courses in reading comprehension and vocabulary, and understanding college textbooks.  Successful candidates must demonstrate experience in reading instruction at the community college level; must be able to teach an occasional course in introductory writing; and develop curriculum.  Experience in alternative delivery systems highly desirable.

 

REQUIREMENTS

 Master?s degree in reading or closely related field requiredDoctorate preferredEvidence of ability to teach at-risk studentsComputer proficiencyEvidence of the ability to use technology in instruction also requiredCollege and/or community college teaching experience preferred
