Regional Training Manager

Winn-Dixie Stores, Inc. is a large grocery retailer with operations in the Southeastern United States and the Bahamas. Job Purpose:

Regional Training Manager is responsible for training and development of leaders and associates in the areas of operational knowledge, human resources functions, and safety.

 

Job Duties:

1.  Develop and utilize assessment tools required to measure data from associates.

2.  Facilitate the development and learning initiatives for retail stores.

3.  Facilitate the training for Division Team on leadership initiatives. 

4.  Administers career development and executive training to Division Team.

5.  Responsible for training the department trainers for the SMIT and WDU programs. Additionally, this position is critical to the candidate selection process for SMIT and WDU.

6.  Establish a training plan to support the retail initiatives developed by corporate.

7.  Manage training budget for the division, priority schedule and overall delivery plan in partnership with the corporate Training and Development department and all levels of store management. 

8.  Responsible for making recommendations to senior management and then guiding the development of a retail wide training agenda and program.  Including updating the program as required by the corporate Training and Development department.

9.  Manage the assessment of the retail training programs to ensure associate development and business development a success.

10.  Establish training metrics to effectively track the effectiveness of the retail learning and development programs.

11. Create a variety of tools and surveys critical to the continued advancement of

 Company initiatives and programs.

 

Experience & Skills Required: 

1.  Able to read, write and speak English proficiently.

2.  Able to understand and follow English instructions.

3.  Must have at least 2 years of experience supervising managers.

4.  Must have knowledge of training principles and theories.

5.  Must have decision-making ability.

6.  Experienced and proficient at POS and retail operation skills.

7.  Must have excellent organizational and communication skills.

8.  Must have experience facilitating development workshops for large to medium size groups.

9.  Flexibility and adaptability to a rapidly changing environment.

10.  Exceptional interpersonal skills will be needed to influence and persuade all levels of associates.

11.  Highly developed sense of urgency appropriate to a fast-paced, high volume, low margin environment.

12.  Demonstrated ability to perform and deliver different types of training modes including customer service, human resources, operations and safety.

13.  Required to be based in the specified Regional Office.

14.  Ability to travel as needed.

 

Education:

A Bachelor?s degree and 3-5 years of training experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
