TRAINING SPECIALIST Mount Laurel, NJ The Training Specialist is responsible for the life-cycle maintenance of the core Retail Training Courses. This includes responsibility for program rollout, revisions to the course materials—addition or deletion of content, changes to activities or exercises, and refines course content and procedures in course and test design. Course materials include Facilitator’s Guides, Participant Workbooks, Instructional Checklists, Handouts, Activities, Job Aids, and Assessments. This role will also be responsible for building program recognition and support throughout the footprint of the organization.
Job Responsibilities:Establishes and maintains thorough knowledge of Commerce Bank retail operations, security, and compliance procedures. Researches product, policy, and procedural changes from multiple Subject Matter Experts (SMEs). Designs, produces and maintains current course materials and instructor updates in the facilitator’s database. Communicates changes, as well as new information, to Training Instructors and Training Managers across all regions. Provides training and assistance to Training Instructors on new materials, as needed. Manages budget for course design, support and extraneous expenses. Manages relationships with vendors, including print production and course development vendors. Analyzes training data to determine future development needs. Provides feedback to Training Instructors, and their Training Managers, regarding strengths and opportunities in the classroom. Supervises/trains respective administrative support. Events planning as needed.
Job Requirements:Bachelor’s Degree in education or a business-related field OR related work experience is required. Prior experience with Lotus Notes databases is preferred. Ability to work in Microsoft Word is required. Additionally, ability to work in Microsoft Excel and Power Point is desirable. Strong presentation, facilitation, management and interpersonal skills. This job is performed in a normal office environment. Occasional travel to Commerce Bank retail Stores and other Training Campuses is required. Ability to work flexible work hours is necessary.
