REPORTING 

RELATIONSHIPSThis individual will report to the President of the University 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

This individual will be responsible for all aspects of the delivery of the University academic programs through various partnerships at international locations worldwide.  Carries out duties with an emphasis on program development, expansion, and growth on a sound fiscal basis while maintaining a high level of quality and accountability. 

?  Work with on-site partners at each location.  These partners operate on a three-year contract.  Partners at each location are responsible for faculty staffing and marketing to students.  Partners operate under standards established by the University.

?  Important to develop relationships with key government representatives in foreign markets.

?  Ability to work with the University?s Vice President of Marketing in developing strategies for attracting the foreign students to the campus in these countries. 

EDUCATION A Masters degree in a related field. A Doctorate is preferred

    EXPERIENCE 

?  Thorough understanding of US accreditation system/standards (regional/institutional as well as specialized/programmatic/professional.

?  Experience in working with international business partnerships (development, maintenance of contracts) in the delivery of postsecondary education.

?  Understanding of international business practices, culture, and government policies.

?  Thorough knowledge and understanding of registration/accreditation requirements in countries where the University delivers programs.

?  Experience with US institutions of higher education in a senior executive position and ability to demonstrate a thorough understanding of universities at many levels, including their business models, political architecture, strategic planning processes, assessment practices, governance structures, and core mission elements.

?  Appropriate levels of budget and supervisory experience

?  Demonstrated record of success in the development, expansion/growth of higher education ventures internationally.

?  Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with international business partners and international governmental agencies.
