School Administrator

The BEVERLY HILLS LINGUAL INSTITUTE is a unique, unparalleled private language school offering high quality instruction in over twenty-five languages.  The Beverly Hills Lingual Institute is well established and highly regarded, has an impressive student retention rate, and is enthusiastically recommended by its own students as well as consulates, cultural institutions and area universities, including UCLA and the Monterey Institute. During each eight week term, BHLI offers more than 120 classes at all levels, beginning through advanced, using high quality university textbooks and curricula. Small classes of no more than ten students meet once a week for 80 minutes and are taught by professional, native speaker instructors, many of whom are also teaching at local universities and colleges, including UCLA, UC-Irvine, Whittier College, Santa Monica College, PCC and LACC.  Current enrollment exceeds 1,100 per term. Both day and evening classes are offered with the majority in the evenings, Monday through Thursday.  No classes are offered on Friday and the school is closed on weekends. Continued growth is expected in 2007.

Job Description:

?Assist the Director in all school operations:

?Opening and closing the school;  school daily routine tasks

?Enrolling students, processing registrations, and collecting and recording revenue

?Explaining class content, teaching strategies, student competence levels and school policies to prospective and current students

?Evaluating client satisfaction and tracking client sources

?Organizing evening cultural activities

?Locating, recruiting, supervising, and evaluating teachers

?Developing curriculum; selecting and purchasing textbooks

?Developing effective public relations and advertising

?Creating schedules and pamphlets
