Position Summary
Responsible for the design, delivery, project management and evaluation of OD&T blended learning programs in the areas of specialized technical skills, system changes and upgrades, and core competency development to support the company?s strategies, initiatives and bottom-line results. Contributes to the development and implementation of needs-based learning and performance solutions and provides analyses and recommendations for the utilization of e-learning methodologies organization-wide.
Primary Responsibilities
? Develops new learning programs utilizing current curriculum development principles and practices for both classroom and online learning (including storyboards, scripting, simulations, web-based tutorials, online resource centers, etc.) for all business units in multiple locations
? Delivers new and existing learning solutions in the areas of core competency development, specialized technical skills, etc. to internal employees in multiple locations
? Partners with HDFS business units for the purpose of identifying and responding to human performance improvement opportunities
? Conducts needs assessments to determine appropriate mix of learning and non-learning interventions.
? Evaluates the instructional effectiveness of OD&T blended learning programs using industry standard evaluation models (i.e. Kirkpatrick, Phillips, Brinkerhoff, etc.)
? Creates alternative learning options such as tutorials, simulations, self-study courses, interactive web-based programs, etc. through the use of Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Flash, and other software applications
? Develops and delivers standardized instructional design templates for learning aids to facilitate the development and operation of OD&T courses
? Creates and maintains online infrastructure to house reference materials, including on-line library, Intranet, tutorials, technical manuals, etc.
? Manages the day-to-day operation of the OD&T computer labs (including password maintenance, system and equipment troubleshooting, etc.) to ensure operational efficiencies with hardware and software programs.
? Researches and reviews alternative learning approaches and industry best practices (including web-based learning, software packages, etc.) and recommends options to OD&T management Mentors OD&T staff and business unit leaders in the usage of technical learning solutions
? Partners with Compliance regarding ongoing online curriculum development and revision of regulatory testing modules.
? Liaison between OD&T and I.T. regarding system bugs, improvements, and new features for blended learning solutions.
? Serves as the OD&T technical advisor for implementation of technical systems throughout all locations and makes recommendations to management as needed
? Serves on HDFS committees and Quality teams to maintain current knowledge of HDFS business unit policies and procedures
? Performs miscellaneous projects and administrative duties as required
? Responsible for protecting employees, customers and corporate information. Follows established physical, electronic and procedural safeguards, including policies regarding data protection, segregation of duties, use of passwords, and access to information based solely on business need. In addition, any company-proprietary information (including but not limited to customer information) may not be transferred or transported outside of HDFS by employees upon leaving the company.
? Maintains a current awareness and understanding of appropriate banking laws, regulations, internal policies and procedures, and to comply fully with those laws, regulations, policies and procedures.
Job Requirements
Experience & Knowledge
Master?s degree preferred.
Bachelor?s degree in Communication, Business, Instructional Design, Education or related field
5-7 years direct experience related to the position.
2-3 years experience using software applications related to integrating technology into learning and performance improvement. Examples include hands-on experience with web-based instructional design and deployment tools such as Dreamweaver, Fireworks, and other courseware authoring tools that result in the creation and distribution of interactive learning portals, online tutorials, learning assessments, etc.
Demonstrated experience leading and participating on project teams
Strong knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design, and human performance technology
Competencies (Skills & Abilities)

Demonstrated expertise in web-based and blended learning technologies
Demonstrated expertise with industry standard project management methodologies (PMBOK)
Ability to design and deliver custom training products and programs with a variety of contents and through multiple delivery mechanisms
Demonstrated ability to organize/manage multiple priorities through to completion
Proven technical writing and troubleshooting skills
Knowledge and application of ISD model and performance based needs assessment
Ability to learn and implement new software quickly and adapt it to unique customer environments
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from others at all levels
High energy and enthusiasm coupled with a sense of urgency
High degree of flexibility and adaptability to work effectively with varied users and stakeholders
Results-based and able to execute plans in a fast-paced and changing environment
Ability to work independently and within a team toward the achievement of goals
Skilled instructor with an ability to quickly adapt training approaches and tools
Proficient in MSOffice products, including PowerPoint, Excel, Publisher, Visio, etc.
