Senior Meeting Planner

Ochsner is currently seeking a Senior Meeting Planner to plan, implement and manage every aspect of a Continuing Medical Education (CME) activity working collaboratively with designated medical staff and Ochsner Health System (OHS) departments.  This includes, but is not limited to, designing activity specifics, budgeting and accounting, registration, obtaining external support (grants/displays),  working with outside vendors for mailings and meeting facility/catering arrangements, internal/external marketing, and post analysis.

 

Bachelor's degree with at least 4 years of meeting/program/event planning experience is required;  certified Meeting Professional (CMP) preferred, but not required; relevant experience of  8 or more years may be substituted in lieu of educational requirement; working knowledge of the entire Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Access), the internet, copier, and scanner; knowledge of  Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Standard a plus; possesses excellent grammar, writing and presentation skills; highly organized and can multitask to meet program deadlines; can work in a team environment yet take ownership of projects using leadership, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Familiar with traveling to meeting sites and negotiating with outside vendors.
