Job Summary:

As a key member of Illumina?s commercial team, you will serve as an internal expert in synchronous and asynchronous training for commercial employees and customers to achieve specific learning objectives. You will work collaboratively with technical subject experts to develop, implement and maintain training programs that contribute to corporate and departmental goals. You will establish company-wide standards for establishing training needs, structuring curricula, evaluating trainee competencies, and implementing continuous improvement based on trainee performance and feedback. You will help develop and deploy online training programs for employees and customers that contribute to the commercial success of the company. You will integrate classroom lectures, laboratory work, and interactive exercises, and apply other instructional design approaches to maximize the effectiveness of the company?s training programs

 

 

Job duties include but are not limited to: Development, design, delivery, and ongoing improvement of integrated commercial training programs including but not limited to employee technical training, customer service training, and training of customers on theory and laboratory practice using Illumina products. Development and deployment of on-line, remote training content for customers and employees on the theory and practical use of Illumina products Training key members of other departments on effective training techniques Developing a system to manage training records of all employees and Certified Service Provider customers that is compliant with FDA?s QSR and ISO 13485 regulations Assisting Marketing, Sales and Customer Solutions with the scheduling and coordination of all company-wide training programs Becoming a subject matter expert by attaining full knowledge of applications, installations and operations of Illumina?s products, tools and services.Providing instructional design and production support to Marketing, Sales and Customer Solutions for online training contentAssessing trainee competencies including the need for additional training and provides feedback to management. Developing metrics to evaluate training program effectiveness as measured against key business goals

 

Education and Experience:

? Bachelor?s degree and at least 3 years of lab experience or a graduate degree in life sciences, biochemistry or related field

? Coursework, certification, or bachelors degree in Education, Instructional Design, Educational Technology or related field desirable

? Excellent presentation skills; must be dynamic and energetic;

? Excellent technical writing skills

? Excellent interpersonal communication skills

? Microsoft Office proficient

? Demonstrated experience developing and delivering successful training programs in a commercial setting to sales, marketing and support staff
