Position overview:  Our ideal candidate will be proficient in the research, design, development and implementation of new applications for mobile and embedded smart devices, retail peripheral devices, and phones. Additional responsibilities will include development and maintenance of Windows Forms and Web applications.

 

Reports to: Director of Technology

Compensation:    Salary commensurate with skills and experience

Schedule:   Full-time ? general business hours

  On-site, not a contract position

 

Primary Responsibilities: Participate in producing detailed functional and technical design documents, primarily for device applicationsCode in all tiers (data, business and presentation layers)Thoroughly document codeTest, prepare and deploy production releasesWork with end users to analyze production issues

 

Skills and experience required: Computer Science or other relevant degree, or work experience equivalent to formal qualification Understanding of multi-tier architectures and OO conceptsUnderstanding of relational data modeling Must demonstrate exceptional organizational and communication skills Must demonstrate an ability to quickly assimilate, analyze and solve complex business problems

 

Specific skills: Required: .NET Compact Framework, C# .NET, T-SQL, ADO.NET, ASP.NET, XML. Desired: Crystal Reports, NUnit.
