Sr. Advanced Sales Consultant-Independent Channel
Summary of Responsibilities
Provide life insurance case design on advanced market topics, sales support, obtain competition information, create and present sales ideas, to internal sales associates, wholesalers and brokers.
Principal Responsibilities
1. Case work for Wealth Advisory Group- work with external wholesalers, field producers and internal wholesalers to develop highly sophisticated estate and business plans for high net worth individuals. Provide technical expertise to the client-s advisors and participate in point-of-sale consultations with the client, the wholesaler and client-s advisor. Research complex tax and insurance issues to provide insurance solutions.
2. Develop and deliver training for field producers, plus internal and external wholesalers on advanced planning techniques focusing on the sale of life insurance. Train new Wealth Advisory Group associates as needed.
3. Create and present seminars, including CE seminars on advanced business and estate planning topics. Audiences to include national and regional broker-dealer conferences, life insurance agencies and home office due diligence meetings.Required Competencies
4. Write technical content for sales and training materials, plus develop website content pertaining to training, sales ideas, advanced marketing, etc.
5. Research various tax law and advanced planning strategies necessary to develop training materials, sales ideas and for use on sales consultation.
6. Provide recommendations to management on marketing initiatives.
7. Analyze estate, charitable financial and business planning software needs. Evaluate available software and make purchase decisions. Work with in-house IT to develop customized software on life insurance product illustrations and planning concepts.
Required Competencies
Strong communication skills - verbal, written and presentations.
Word, Excel, PowerPoint, life insurance product illustration systems, Impact Technologies, Crescendo, Number Cruncher, BRT, Winflex, Insgift and others
Dimensions:
8+ years of advanced sales experience in the financial planning and life insurance industry. Prior field sales experience desired. Advanced education and credentials in tax/insurance/financial planning such as JD, CPA, CFP, LLM, or graduate degree. JD or CPA preferred
Series 6, 63 and insurance licenses a must.
Other Comments:
Industry expertise, professional appearance and demeanor, great phone and computer skills, plus salesmanship for a multi-talented team player are needed for this position to help drive sales in this advanced market sales support unit.
