Principal Responsibilities:

 

?  Acts as the expert in the systems approach to training and its application to the production of program requirements

?  Contributes to the design process for specific delivery order requirements

?  Interfaces with program personnel on procedures, processes, and methods of operating, maintaining, revising, and enhancing the assigned training system

?  Develops and produces instructional products in a systematic manner

?  Supports the selection process, from an instructional perspective, when determining the optimal media applied to a specific design

?  Supports test design by ensuring questions/distracters that fully test the objective for which they were written

?  Acts as the expert in standards and specifications to include SCORM 2004 V1.3, Section 508, and IMS Question and Test Interoperability (QTI)

?  Ensures all products conform to approved design strategies and tactics prior to release for customer review

?  Uses appropriate industry and government standards and specifications

?  Identifies both programmatic and technical risk items and associated risk mitigation or avoidance strategies

?  Participates in conferences, meetings, and reviews associated with the instructional design process

 

Required Competencies:
A PhD with five years, Masters with 10 years or Bachelors with fifteen years experience

Degree in Instructional Technology, Instructional Systems or Cognitive Psychology

In-depth knowledge and experience in adult learning principles and methodologies
In-depth knowledge of delivery methodologies, with a heavy emphasis on e-learning design and development
Knowledge of the Integrated Learning Environment (ILE) and its associated specifications and standards

Intermediate level skills in creating documents and presentations using Word and other appropriate software
Creative self-starter, able to work independently in a fast-paced team environment
Excellent oral and written communications skills
Experience using Evolution by Outstart tool a plus
