Teach Abroad in Japan
Japan - A Year or a Career
With over 800 branch locations and a state-of-the-art multimedia learning center, Nova Group is Japan?s largest and most innovative language school. Instructors at Nova teach a variety of classes including English Conversation, Business English, Kids English, and Standardized Test Preparation. Our goal of creating a friendly and intimate learning environment is aided by our small class size (most classes are limited to 4 students) and our Nova-designed textbooks and curriculum. A big draw for our students is that our lessons are conducted entirely in English. Consequently, knowledge of Japanese is not a requirement of the position.
Our 6000+ instructors come from nearly every English-speaking country on Earth, and their backgrounds are as varied as their nationalities. Our students, too, are a diverse bunch with doctors, cooks, retired people, university students, and engineers all attending classes to improve their ability to communicate in English. The result is that our instructors often learn as much from their students as they teach them.
Nova Group offers the following:
n Competitive monthly salary, providing an opportunity to save and live comfortably in Japan
n A set, full-time schedule
n Renewable, one-year contracts
n Secured housing, work visa, and health insurance prior to departure
n 3 weeks of paid vacation during the first year
n Joint applications for friends and couples
To be eligible for the position and the visa applicants must:
n Possess at least a bachelor?s degree
n Have attended primary and secondary schools in which the language of instruction was English. It is not sufficient to have only studied English from an early age.
n Be willing to make at least a one-year commitment
n Be open to working with students of all ages
Why not spend the next year (or more!) teaching in Japan, skiing the Japanese Alps, exploring Japan (not to mention Thailand, Cambodia, New Zealand, and China), and eating amazing food all while gaining valuable professional and life experience? Nova Group offers you a fantastically unique experience for a year or a career.
A wealth of additional information can be found on our website, www.teachinjapan.com.
Interviews are held each week in our Boston office. We also have interview days coming up in Washington DC, Tampa, and Miami. We are currently interviewing for positions starting in October and November of 2006 as well as early 2007. Apply now to be eligible to attend.
