Teacher Needed ASAP - Single Subject

Desert Sands Charter High School has an immediate need for teachers in all 4 "core" NCLB areas.

 

Are you credentialed in

English?

Science?

Social Science?

Mathematics?

 

If so, we need you! Our new school year begins soon and we need to hire energetic, hard working individuals to teach our students in each of the above "core" areas.

Job Responsibilities and Funtions:


Assign an individualized course of study to the student

Direct Teaching/ Introduce student to lessons

Focus on improving student learning

Accept quality rather than quantity from students
Be available to answer questions from students and parents regarding assignments and grades.
Assist student in finding additional resources
Give the student the appropriate test in order that the student may demonstrate competence
Monitor tests as taken
Recommend student for remedial or tutor assistance as necessary
Responsible to maintain caseload with 85% ADA
Responsible to meet California Teaching Standards
Work in relationship to student not unlike that of a customer or client.


A Working knowledge of computers, especially MS Windows and all MS Office programs a definite PLUS.
