Broward County is located on the southeast coast of sunny Florida. We are the home to the world famous Ft. Lauderdale beach where you will find 23 miles of stunning beaches. Broward is one of the top ten largest school districts in the nation. The District has a unique suburban/urban mix of students and serves the educational needs of over 272,000 Pre-K - 12 students with over 238 schools and employing 15,000 teachers.

We are having a job fair July 21st at the Signature Grand in Davie Florida. This fair is targeted for schools who have remaining vacancies. The Districts goal is to have a certified teacher in every classroom on the first day of school. Last year, over 700 candidates attended and 214 were hired to begin the school year. The majority of vacant positions are for candidates eligible for a Florida Educators certificate in elementary education, English/language arts, special education, math, reading, science, social studies, speech/language impaired.

The job fair will run as follows:
7:30 a.m.-8:30 a.m. Registration
8:00 a.m.-12 p.m. Interviews
2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. Orientation and Processing for candidates who were hired. Candidates will complete their employment papers, make their benefit selections and be fingerprinted, if needed. Please have your social security card.
