Title/Role:  Technical Training Instructor

Department:  Training Reports to: Training Manager

FLSA Status:  Exempt

 

 


Job Summary:
Train field engineers, manufacturing and materials personnel, field coordinators, and sales people on the theory and operation of business system applications. Applications supported will be both commercial and custom proprietary business systems. The position is based out of the PES Technology Center in Houston, TX. Less than 15% domestic and international travel is required. The position reports to the Training Manager in the Technical Support Group.  

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

?  Instruct employees on the use of business system applications, including general and specific processes and procedures.

?  Modify and improve existing curriculum and manuals to support the development of personnel .

?  Ensure that up to date documentation is maintained for all processes and services offered.

?  Research course topics, including working with subject matter experts, supervisors and department managers.

?  Develop material for multiple delivery formats.

?  Develop and support initiatives to continuously improve the service quality of the Training Department.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

?  Experience using business system applications, including ERP systems such as Microsoft Navision.

?  Experience in a manufacturing and operations environment.

?  Must have the ability and willingness to understand specific business requirements and processes for effective delivery of training.

?  Exceptional writing, documentation, and presentation skills.

?  Ability to speak in front of large audiences.

?  Experience in implementation of technical training curriculum.

?  Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office software.

?  The ability to work well with a team and large groups of people.


Education/Experience:
?   Bachelor?s degree in a business or technical discipline.

?  3 to 5 years experience in delivering training courses in a technical environment.


Work Conditions:

Overtime will be required as needed.
